West Salem recently finished installation of our newest machining center. This Doosan 3 axis vertical milling machine adds about 50-75% improvement in productivity over previous mills. A dedicated 10 ton overhead crane was installed to feed the Doosan.

We are very pleased to announce the recent appointment of Patrick Lorenz as Vice-President of Sales for West Salem Machinery.
Patrick brings over 21 years of experience in sales management, business development and enhancing relationships with business partners and customers. Patrick’s experience in the industrial world is extensive and includes application and sales of a wide variety of rotating process equipment for over 25 years, including a previous stint with West Salem Machinery.

West Salem Machinery has renewed their agreement with their agent, Chris Thompson, who covers Asia and Oceana. Chris brings his 10 years of industry experience and fluency in Mandarin to offer WSM world class grinders, screens, and processing systems to the region.
At WSM’s size reduction and screening test facility in Salem, Oregon, customers and prospective customers can have feedstock tested. The testing and refining of processes (and sometimes equipment) often result in improving the customers' operations or help them to make informed, confident machine purchases.
WSM is pleased to announce the appointment of Dan Garrett as Director of WSM Parts & Service. Dan has worked for WSM for over 22 years and brings a vast amount of experience to this expanded role. “We consistently hear from our customers how important quick response for parts and service is to them,” said Mark Lyman, president of West Salem Machinery, “We want to ensure that our commitment is well understood by the industry and have further invested in our Parts and Service group by formally separating them from any new equipment responsibilities and adding personnel.”
West Salem Machinery is proud to partner, once again, with Roseburg Forest Products on the state-of-the-art new LVL plant in Chester, SC. Roseburg’s new facility will have the most advanced technology and the highest capacity continuous LVL press in the world.
